The scheduled USS Salt Lake City Plaque Dedication ceremony, originally set for September 19th, has been postponed until June, 2009. This will be during the week of our annual reunion being held in San Antonio. A day will be scheduled for everyone to travel to Fredericksburg, either by bus or personal vehicle, for the dedication. Hopefully, this change will allow more people to attend. I appreciate all the input that I have received so far and hope to see everyone in June.

The Symposium on the Philippines and Iwo Jima, however, is still being held by the museum. Al Jowdy, SLC veteran, is a scheduled participant for the Iwo Jima discussion being held on Sunday, September 21st. Anyone interested in attending please contact me at (832) 647-9490.
