Dear Sandy,
Quite by accident, I came across your website while surfing the internet. My maiden name is GNADER. It is not a very common name at all, actually a German name. My family has not been in the US all that long, since about late 1800's to early 1900's.
On your website I came across a naval person's name of Francis U. Gnader.
My father, Lee Gnader, had a half brother by the name of Francis Gnader. We never knew what happened to him.
Do you have any further info anywhere on your website for Francis U. Gnader? (Not sure what the U stood for)
My father is 85 years old, and was born in 1924. His half brother Francis was several years older than him.
Francis Gnader's parents were Franklin Coleman Gnader and Mary Ethel Shipman Gnader (later married Seybold).
Do you by chance have any further info or pictures for Francis Gnader?
Anything you can find out would be so much appreciated by our GNADER family and very interesting to add to our family geneology.
Thanks and many blessings.
