Received the Bronze Star for his part in the rescue mission of the veterans of the USS LONGSHAW DD-559 on May 18, 1945.

He has stayed in touch with shipmate Gordon M. Wallace
& in Feb. of 2007, got connected up with shipmates Lamar R. Brunson & Harold L. Duncan
