Hi Sandy.

Everything went off as planned and I think folks generally had a good time. The various tours and excursions went off smoothly, and a local American Legion post provided a color guard for the banquet and found us a Navy master chief who came and said some very nice words to the group.

We had the three veterans who can still attend every year -- Sandy Oppenheimer, Al Jowdy and Fran McCorriston. They were joined by a fourth veteran, Walter Freysinger, who came with his daughter Dawn. I understand he was a regular years ago but hadn't been to one since his wife died several years back.

We had 43 people total, though only about 35 at any one time, as some people could only stay for part of the week. Some were there just for the beginning of the week, and others just at the end, so it balanced out.

Here's the complete list of who was there, either for the whole week or for part of the week. (The list is in no particular order, but is grouped by family. And the children are noted because there was no charge for them to ride the bus.)

I have the business meeting minutes and will get them to you soon.

At the meeting it was decided to have next year's reunion in California, with John Mercer hosting. They also decided to make the reunion one day shorter, to help hold the cost down. The exact city isn't set yet....I believe John is getting info on different options.

My goal this year is to get the book done much sooner, basically, to start on it as soon as Jeff gets me the photos. It will still take several weeks to do.

Several people I spoke to expressed their appreciation for everything you do for the group with the website, the newsletters, and keeping track of everyone throughout the year. Your efforts are very much noticed and appreciated.

Take care,
Randy
