Six Mothers Trade News of Navy Sons

Six Tulsa mothers, with sons serving aboard a heavy cruiser in the South Pacific, have formed a communications club to circluate news of their sons.

Each son must mention the activities of the others, and then each mother telephones the others when she gets a letter.

The men are:

Deceased Lloyd E. Acree, AOM3c   Deceased Insull Puryear, AMM3c  John Hancock, Sgt. USMC
James F. Hayes, Comdr.  M. L. Holland, EM2c  Victor P. Thompson, S1c

Acree was promoted to 3c Petty Officer in the Aviation Ordnance Dept. and Puryear to 3c Petty Officer in the Aviation Machine Shop.
