USS SLC...Enlisted Navy...Carl James Alyea, Cox

US FLAG Carl James Alyea passed away on Feb. 27th, 1999
March 22nd, 2004

I am the oldest daughter of Carl J. Alyea, who served on the SLC. My dad is #22 in the 8th Division Group Picture.

My dad told me and my siblings some about the war, but not too much. We all knew he served on the SLC in WWII and he had a tattoo on his arm that said "USS Salt Lake City".

I am very anxious to read the various articles of history on the website. I think my dad would be happy to know that we are very interested in this part of his life.

Thank you,
Michele Geiselhart
