USS SLC...USN...Robert E. Charles, FC3c

US FLAG Robert Charles passed away on May 20th, 2005
Robert Charles, passed away this morning at about 8 am. His son Steve was with him when he quietly went home to his Lord. Dad Charles served aboard the USS Salt Lake City during WWII and later a destroyer and was a participant in several major battles in the Aleutian Islands and the South Pacific.

He worked at Bell Hellicopter for almost 30 years and had a wonderful retirement of almost 15 years. He was 79 years, 8 months and 8 days. Dad was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather....and the best father-in-law any woman could wish for. We will all miss him.

Daughter in Law, Jody Charles
