US FLAG George R. Creamer - Deceased, Date Unknown
Aug. 22, 2002

My name is Bill Vegoren. I was recently surfing the net with my new computer. I input my name and ran across the picture of the "A" Division taken on News Year's Day 1944. What a surprise. My father, ball-red-02 Deceased Robert H. Vegoren, MM3c, is #5 in "A" Division, 1944 picture from Ray Waldrop. He introduced his buddy (at a later year), #30- George R. Creamer to his new bride's sister whom George married. So #5 is my father and #30 is my uncle on my mother's side. They are now all deceased.

When the two pictures are put together you can really get a feel for what the ship looked like. What a small world it is to run across something like this from another age. This makes me appreciate the contributions that my family has made to this country so much more.

Thankyou,
Bill R. Vegoren, nephew
