I don't know what years for sure that he was on the SLC. 1934 for sure. I have an award from 1934 that he had in his possession from Yonkers, New York from a foot race. He was born 1906 in Chicago, IL. and died in 1959 in Canoga Park, CA. I don't have any papers from his service in the navy. I would love to have you send me the paper you were talking about. I would be grateful. I tried at the National Archives and didn't have any luck.
