US FLAG Ezra J. Ellsworth passed away on Sunday, June 4th, 2000. His remaining heirs are his wife Helen, of 57 years, a son, daughter in law, a daughter & son in law.
Jun. 19th, 2000

The Above picture is showing Ezra at his battle station on the USS Salt Lake City. He was the 1st Class Chief Cook & Instructor. Some, if they knew him, referred to him as 'Junior' (his middle name), commonly used by many Missouri (Show-Me) state relatives.

After discharge from the Navy in 1945, he went to work for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He had a break of 10 years when he bought a BBQ restaurant, sold it after 6 years and worked for an affiliated Goodyear Tireshop. He finally went back to Goodyear as a warehouseman, retiring after an injury accident and age 65.

Lloyd said that his dad loved talking about the Navy Days and the old SLC. If you remember Ezra, please let us know.

Sincerely
(Son) Lloyd Ellsworth
