U.S.S. SLC...USN...David Fromm, QM2c David Fromm passed away in Portland, OR. on June 5th, 2019 at the age of 96 years Nov. 16th, 2019 Information from son Dave Fromm, Jr. Dad served on the USS Salt Lake City CA25 from early 1940 through Pearl Harbor and past the launching of the Doolittle Raiders from the Hornet as CA25 escorted them to Japan. I'm not quite sure when he left the SLC but he spent the remainder of his service on PT's in the Pacific Theatre, leaving the Navy as CQM. Identified his father in #3 in Group 175 #3 in Group 176
