Edward passed away on Jan. 26th, 1995 June 3rd, 2005
My father was living on the family farm in Bedford, Massachusetts when he was privileged to enlist in the Marines in New York, NY. on Dec. 20th, 1933. There were 8 other children. After his regular hitch, he received his "Honorably Discharged" by reason of expiration of term of enlistment on Dec. 6th, 1937 in San Francisco, CA. He was delivered at MB, PSNY, Bremerton, WA. on Dec. 19th and enlisted in VMCR, Class VI on Dec. 29th, 1937. His character listed as "Excellent". He served in the Marine reserves until March 20, 1941 at the rank of Corporal.
