Just a note to say thank you for setting up this web site. I found a picture of my dad, Earl R. Lamansky, #14 with Marine Gun Crew and got in contact with Bert Nave's (who was the crew's gunnery sergeant) son, who told me they graduated from boot camp together. This is quite a nice surprise.

I know my dad was on the SLC but am not sure for how long. He used to tell us a lot of stories when I was much younger, and the facts are not quite clear to me. I am hoping to learn more about his time on the SLC.
