George R. Lee passed away on Aug. 19th, 1983 in La Jolla CA. He is in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. on Point Loma. Information from his son David Lee Jan. 12th, 2019 My father, George R. Lee, was on the USS Salt Lake City at the end of the war and for the Atomic Test. August 8th, 1945 This is my dad, with Chaplin Neyman who was my grandfather and on the right is Robert Neyman - who was also on the Salt Lake City. I am guessing that Chaplin (father of Robert Neyman and father-in-law of my dad) was visiting the Ship when the picture was taken. |
