Hi Sandy,

I am the son of one of the seaman who was aboard the USS SLC. His name is E. E.Orcutt. He died in 1970 at the age of 50. I have many letters that he wrote, some from the USS SLC with the letterhead. They are quite interesting.

I do not have any records of E. E.Orcutt. From what I have been told he was on board the day Pearl Harbor was hit. From his letters he seemed to be on the USS SLC from 1941-1943. He served on the USS Vincenes before he was on the SLC.

I am looking for more info. about him that took place during this time in his life and in the lives of others such as your father. Thanks for your work in putting this page together. It has proven very helpful.

I will get back with you soon.

Jeff Orcutt
