Martin Roppolo passed away on Dec. 21st, 2019 at the age of 98 following a brief illness. Information from daughter Donna Meck Apr. 10th, 2000 Dear Sandy, Here is my brief history of my service in the Navy and my time on the USS Salt Lake City, CA25.
I enlisted at the Brooklin Navy Yard on Jan. 26th, 1942 and reported to
boot camp at Newport, RI. in Feb. 1942. I reported to sheetmetal school
in San Diego, CA. in April of 1942.
