USS SLC...Enlisted Navy...Anton Tony Stermitz, S1c

US FLAG Anton T. Stermitz passed away on March 21st, 1994 in Boscobel, WI. at the age of 84.
Nov. 28th, 2009

Anton T. Stermitz was born Jan. 11th, 1910 in Aldridge, Montana. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from July 6th, 1943 until Nov. 24th, 1944 and was discharged on Dec. 7th, 1944. He was employed with the State of IL., Dept. of Mental Health and Corrections for 36 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1307 in Elgin, IL. for 38 years.

He is survived by his son Tony Stermitz and his daughter, Mary Ann Stermitz-Graser and their families. He was preceeded in death by his wife Elizabeth, a brother and a great-grandson.
