Dear Sandra, Thank you for the service you provide for this website. It is a resource I like to go to connect with my dad, Roy W. Yates, WT1c, who died several years ago. He served on the ship from 1939-1944. I identified him on the photo "SLC Shipmates who received the purple heart" after the Battle of the Komandorski Islands.
