USS SLC...Enlisted Navy...Elmer Arthur Engbrecht, SF1c Elmer A. Engbrecht passed away on Dec. 4th, 1993. Dec. 7th, 2005 Pearl Harbor Day today.....a reminder of how luck we are to have brave men and women defending this nation. I pay tribute to their courage and sacrifice. My grandfather was a Pearl Harbor Survivor....he retired from the Navy, went to work for the Montana Fish and Game where he retired in 1980, and after a courageous battle with cancer passed away on Dec. 4th, 1993...buried full military in Mesa, Arizona across from HoHoKam Field where his favorite baseball team (the Chicago Cubs) play spring training.
