Thank you so much for transcribing and placing this book on the internet! I have only just recently discovered that my father, Winslow Walter Evans, served on the Salt Lake City and have been looking for this book ever since. It appears to be very rare and difficult to get. Could you please do a look up for his name. I believe he was on board from June 1944 to Nov. 1945. Again, thank you for having the idea and resource to place this important history where individuals like myself can have access to it.
