USS SLC...USN...Roy Hill Groger, Jr., S1c Jan. 14th, 2009 Hello, My name is Joe Yuknalis. I happen to be ex-NAVY (USS SEATTLE-AOE-3). The reason I contact you today is a coin collecting friend has come across a home made “dog tag” [see below]. It was made on a walking liberty half dollar which I understand was common practice during the WWII era. My friend would like to unite this piece of personal history to either the maker or his family. If any contact information could be provided it would be greatly appreciated.
