US FLAG Paul W. Harris passed away on Dec. 31st, 1989

June 4th, 2004
Sandy,

Dad was born on Dec 13, 1915, in Balitmore, MD. He was in the war from '44 to 46. He met a man on the SLC, named Alfonso J. Beradinelli, S1c, from Gallitzin, PA. & they become best buddies. Alfonso's birthday was Dec. 13, 1914.

Dad said that he was getting birthday cards on his ship, and Al, said, he was sad, cause it was his birthday too, and he didn't get any cards. so Dad shared his cards.

They were friends until my father's death in Dec 31, 1989.

My dad didn't say much about his war days. I have some pictures, from his navy days. I would be glad to send them along.

My father worked his life in the construction field. He was a labor, after leaving the war, and gradually worked his way up to a Constructional Engineer. He went to University of Baltimore and graduated from there. He won an award in 1972 for Constructional Engineer of the Year.

He enjoyed, wood working, and building many items for my Mother. He made her a porch chair that folded. Also tables, chest of drawers, cradles, and made doll things for me.

Paula Jeffery, dau.
