SLC Deck Logs, Nov. 1942

May 15th, 2000

Thank you for your letter of March 24th. I don't have a picture of myself in uniform with the rate I held on the SLC. In fact, this is the only picture I have in uniform. I hope it can be of use.

I lived for 12 1/2 years not far from you near Tiff City, MO. on "F" Highway. When I retired in 1973 we were traveling thru the Osarks and bought 40 acres 7 miles west of Anderson, MO. We built a house, barn and fenced the place. We had two dogs and 2 Quarter Hourses. It was a fun time for us.

We sold 12 years ago and move back to CA. We've been in Grove many times. We took in the "Jone's Display" (Har-Ber Village) and enjoyed the lake.

Thank you again for your work and dedication to the SLC.

Best Wishes,
Sincerely,
Lacey C. Pomplun
