Rear Admiral William D. French & Richard "Rich" Noar
Rear Admiral French gave a wonderful talk at the U.S.S. Midway museum during the 2010 SLC reunion.
Rich Noar, son of SLC veteran ball-red-02 Deceased Abraham A. Noar, took it upon himself to have a plaque made [at his own expense] to express his gratitude & the other members of the U.S.S. Salt Lake City CA25 Association.

Thank you Rich. Your loyalty and dedication to the Association goes above and beyond.

Note from Sandy Thompson-Eskew

Rich Noar also designed a replica of the U.S.S. Salt Lake City CA25 Life preserver. He had many made to give as gifts to the Veterans, surviving spouses and to others that were there to help while attending the reunion. Several veterans that were unable to come received them too.

Pictured below are the little preservers along with some of the memorabilia of the U.S.S. Salt Lake City CA25 that is always displayed very nicely by Mike Asea, son of SLC Veteran, ball-red-02 Deceased George Asea

Rich also had the "Second Watch" sign made to display at the reunion.

The preservers were given to each person during at the reunion. We hope everyone got home with theirs after all the work Rich went through. He loves the SLC Veterans and extended families and just wanted to show his appreciation to them. If you are interested in one of the preservers, check out the Ship's Store and read how they came about. :)

Thank you again Rich
