US FLAG Thomas Hughes passed away in 1985 Milton, DE.- information found in SLC Association Newsletter
Dear Sandy

I need your help! My Father was A SLC Veteran and I have been trying to find some information on him.

Let me bring you up to date as to why I need the info.

I was told by my mother that he was killed in the war and I never knew him. It wasn't until a few years ago that I found out that he was still alive. I am trying to locate any family members he may have had ( Wife, children, siblings).

I know he had a brother Patrick William Hughes (Red) that was with him on the U.S.S. Honolulu. My Uncle was with him and I thought he came aboard the SLC about the same time when it was in Pearl Harbor.

I would like to get in touch with any family or anyone who knew him (Thomas) as I would like to obtain any medical history...ect.

I did run across his death record in the Social Security records. But when I tried to contact the local newspapers to obtain an obituary I was unable to locate one.

If by any means you could help me I would be very indebted to you.

I have been searching for so long and then I come across this web site which is wonderful.

Sincerely Yours,

Thomas L. Hughes
