US FLAG Ira P. Snowden passed away on June 8th, 1989
Oct. 23rd., 2005

Not much information on Ira during his time on the SLC. If you remember him, please contact Sandy Eskew, Historian.

After the war he returned to Elgin, TX., then later moved to New Boston, TX. around 1946-48. He worked as a firefighter for Red River Army Ammunition Plant Depot until he retired in 1976. He & wife Emily had 3 daughters & 1 son. He also worked as an electrician until his death of cancer on June 8th, 1989 at the age of 69.
