USS SLC...Enlisted Navy...Bertram J. Edgar, BM1c
Bertram J. Edgar passed away on Sept. 30th, 2003 at the age of 84.Information from Gene Butler, son-in-law. March, 2003 Received the following message from daughter Rosemary Butler on Dec. 13, 2002
I was very happy to see the website on the SLC. My father, Bertram J. Edgar was on the ship. He and I get in some vivid discussion about the ship and his life on it. He is 83 years old now and in very good health. I would like to get some information about people and add his name to the roster. I know he will be thrilled to hear from anyone. He does not have a computer, but I would be more than happy to get the information and tell him about it. I would also like for him to go to the reunion. He is going to be so thrilled and excited to hear that we have found some of his old shipmate.
