ball-red-02 Deceased Fults, Harry C., Pfc, USMC received contusions from injury sustained from the shield and the 40 mm gun mount. Transferred to sick bay.

Whalen, James H., S2c caught his hand between the turret and bulkhead when leaving. Negligence not apparent. Lacerations and possible fractured right hand. Admitted to sick bag.
