Received on board for duty Triplett, Thomas Gerald, RM3c and Gray, Robert Thomas, RM3c Nov. 2nd, 1943 Transferred Childers, Thomas J., SF2c to the US Naval Hospital Transferred Starr, E. J., RM3c and Gonsales, M., RM3c to duty at the Flag Staff allowance. Nov. 3rd, 1943 LaGesse, L. E., FC2c was transferred for a course of instruction in Fire Control School at Washington, D.C. Transferred Stewart, Max, TC1c for acourse of instruction in Gunner's Mate School at Washington, D.C. Transferred Stover, Harold D., AOM3c for a course of instruction in aviation ordance school at Jacksonville, FL. Transferred Kocurek, E. H., AMM1c for a course of instruction in Aviation Machinist's Mate School at Chicago, IL. Nov. 4th, 1943 Received the following named men on board from the U. S. Receiving Station. |

Naval Service this date by reason of expiration of enlistment for the convenience of the government. Morse, Russell P., Lt. was detached from this vessel and ordered to nearest Fleet Air Command on West Warf, USA for duty. Nov. 7th-14th, 1943 - NO REMARKS Nov. 15th, 1943 Jarrand, Raymond L., S1c received injury to right eye after being in a fight with another man. Transferred Penny, F. Ernest, WT2c and Wilder, Leland Gould, CWT to Naval Traningin School for Boiler and Turbine Laboratory, Navy Yard, Philadelphia, PA. Transferred Sutton, Clifford Lloyd, MM1c to Diesel Classification Center Training Station, San Francisco, CA. Nov. 16th, 1943 Fults, Harry C., Pfc, USMC received contusions from injury sustained from the shield and the 40 mm gun mount. Transferred to sick bay. Nov. 17th-19th, 1943 - NO REMARKS Nov. 20th, 1943 Whalen, James H., S2c caught his hand between the turret and bulkhead when leaving. Negligence not apparent. Lacerations and possible fractured right hand. Admitted to sick bag. Nov. 21st-23rd, 1943 - NO REMARKS Kilpatrick, Charles William, Lt.(jg) was detached for further transfer. Czarnowski, E. J., WT1c injured his left arm when he caught it between starboard gun#4. No fracture. Nov. 24th-Nov. 29th, 1943 - NO REMARKS Nov. 30th, 1943 Mason, E. L., FC1c was transferred aboard [Name of ship blocked out] for further transfer to Receiving Station, west coast, for further transfer to Washington D.C. for instruction in Fire Control School. Lewis, E. E., GM2c was transferred aboard [Name of ship blocked out] for further transfer, Washington, D. C. for instruction in Gunner's Mate School. Skinner, M. C., GM1c was transferred aboard [Name of ship blocked out] for further transfer to nearest Receiving Station for Washington D.C.for a course of instruction at Electric Hydraulic School. Diagnosis: Arthritis, Acute (Hip and back) Matusek, Robert, Jr., Lt. and Reeves, Gerald M., Lt. were detached from duty and transferred to [Name of ship blocked out] for further transfer to New London, Conn. and report to CO, Sub Base, for temporary duty under instruction in submarines and FFT assignment to duty. |
