Mar. 2nd, 1944 Harer, Arnold Wood, Ensign was detached this date to report to CO, Amphibious Tranining Base, Camp Bradford, Naval Operating Base, Norfolk, Virginia, for duty in connection with Amphibious Operation. Vasey, Charles A., Ensign and Murphy, John L., Ensign were detached this date to report to the Commandant of the nearest Naval District in US. for further assignment by the BuPers. Mar. 3rd - 8th, 1944-NO REMARKS Mar. 9th, 1944 -Anchored as before Russell, James G., Jr., Lt., Carroll, Herman E., Gunner, Trapp, Paul A., Boatswain reported on board for duty. Mar. 10th-11th, 1944- NO REMARKS Mar. 12th, 1944 Acting Pay Clerk, Lazar, Harry R. reported for duty on board this vessel. Bikle, B. L., Lt. was detached and ordered to report to nearest port in US for further assignment by BuPers. Mar. 13th, 1944 - NO REMARKS Mar. 14th, 1944 Cooley, Alvin L., Y1c and Williams, J. L., SM2c were transferred to CO of the CHESTER to further report to COMCRUDIV 5 (Flag Allowance) for duty. Mar. 15th-16th, 1944-NO REMARKS Mar. 17th, 1944 Gray, Lenvil Eugene, CMM(AA) was discharged from the US NAVAL SERVICE this date by reason of expiration of enlistment for the convenience of the governement. Rosales, Henry Anthony, SK2c was transferred to the SS PERIDA for further transfer to Navy 128 for treatment in U.S. Navy Hospital. Diagnosis: Dislocation articular cartilage left knee. Lay, Eugene, PhoM3c was transferred to SS PARIDA FFT to west coast of US for course of instruction on Photographer Mates School. Mar. 18th, 1944 Jackson, Homer Lee, S2c was admitted to sick bay. Diagnosis: Contusion of back suffered through slipping on a ladder. negligence not apparent. Taking stores aboard from MEGREZ. Mar. 19th, 1944 Comorat, Vincent Joseph, Boatswain was detached from this vessel for further assignment. Mar. 20th, 1944-Leaving Port to test fire AA weapons. - Returned to port. Mar. 21st, 1944- Anchored as before - took on ammunition. Mar. 22nd, 1944-Left port. NO REMARKS Mar. 23rd, 1944 Steaming as a unit of TASK GROUP 50.15 in company with TASK GROUPS 58.2 and 58.9.
